Assign an Issue

Assigning an issue to a technician or 3rd Party from the Issues Page

From the Issues Page there are 2 primary approaches to assigning issues to your mechanics or a 3rd Party.

Option 1: Assign from table

If you have enough information just in the table to know who to assign the issue to, Option 1 is your quickest approach.

Step 1: Go to the Issues Page Start by opening the Issues page. Here, you’ll see all open, unassigned issues.

Step 2: Assign Directly from the Table When you know who should handle an issue, look in the Assignee column. Click New task to start assigning.

Step 3: Fill Out the Assignment Form A form pops up where you fill in details for the mechanic or third party you want to assign it to. Complete the form, then save your changes.

Option 2: Review Details and Assign from Drawer

If you need to investigate the issue or other details about the equipment, your best approach is to open the drawer to assign the issue.

Step 1: Open the Issue Drawer for More Details

Click the row of the issue you want to assign (or investigate). This opens the equipment drawer right from the table. The drawer will load to the issue you are looking at. Inside the drawer, you can review all details about the issue, including any notes and attached media.

Step 2: Review other items about the equipment in the drawer if needed (e.g., upcoming maintenance, recent inspections, fluid analysis, etc.) to understand the issue in full.

Step 3: Assign via the Equipment Drawer

After reviewing, return to the issue and hover over the issue to show the three-dot menu. Choose New Task and assign the issue to either a company technician or an external third party.

By following these steps, you'll assign issues accurately and keep your issue management workflow organized.
